and is located approximately 10 minutes away
by car/taxi from DWTC.
The venue can also be reached by Dubai Metro "Red line" from the arrivals terminal at World Trade Centre station (approximately 25 minutes).

Location of the Conference

The UFI MEA Conference 2021 will take place in Hall 4 on ground floor.
Hall 4 is accessible from both Concourse 1 and Concourse 2, with easy access to our multi-storey parking located on Happiness and Exhibition streets, as well as walking distance from the metro station.

Our Registration and Info desk will be located near Hall 4.

Language Spoken: The UFI MEA Conference will be in English.

Dress Code: Smart casual.

The below are answers to the most frequently asked questions. However, all travelers must always refer to official documents by authorities in their home countries or the ones issued by Dubai authorities on the link above. Travelers may also refer to the airline regulations and guidelines of the respective carrier.

How do I know if I am allowed to travel to Dubai from my home country?

All you need to do is to ensure that you meet entry visa requirements to visit the UAE. You can check if you need a visa here.

Do I have to quarantine when I arrive to Dubai?

No, there is no need to quarantine in Dubai subject that you have a negative PCR test from your home country that is in accordance with the arrival criteria – for specifics, see here.

Do I need a PCR test even if I am vaccinated/had COVID-19?

All passengers arriving to Dubai from any point of origin (including GCC countries) must hold a negative PCR test certificate, for which the test must be taken no more than 72 hours prior to the time of departure. As announced on 22 April 2021, travelers from certain countries must hold a negative PCR test, taken no more than 48 hours prior to the time of departure. Negative COVID-19 certificates must be printed in English or Arabic (the date and time of the test must be detailed).

The printed certificate must have a valid QR code. No hand written, SMS or digital certificates will be accepted.

You may be required to take another test at Dubai Airports upon arrival if travelling from select destinations or if you show symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival. All travelers must check the country requirements from which they are departing.

What happens if I show symptoms or if I get infected after my arrival to Dubai?

A person who is infected with COVID-19 will remain in isolation (home or facility). The isolation period for a confirmed COVID-19 case is 10 days. For more information, please visit this Dubai Health Authority page.

Does the UFI Conference follow health & safety protocols to ensure the welfare of the attendees?

The UFI Conference takes place in accordance with all the health & safety guidelines set out by the local authorities. The event will be delivered with strict standards of health & safety precautionary measures including – but not limited to – physical distancing across the conference, networking and dining areas, hygiene protocol i.e. sanitization of materials including seats, PPE usage at all times, touchless registration with sanitized lanyards, etc.

It is the attendees’ responsibility to follow all guidelines that are put in place in order to ensure theirs and their fellow attendees wellbeing.

What are the sanitary measures I need to be aware of and follow at the conference?

Here is a non-exhaustive, yet comprehensive, list of sanitary measures that the conference attendees should follow when onsite:

  • Print your own badge at home on A4 color paper and bring it with you to the venue. Sanitized lanyards and plastic pockets will be provided onsite.
  • Wear your medical face mask at all times except when eating or drinking.
  • Eating and drinking is not permitted while visiting the sponsors booths and walking to the aisles.
  • Maintain the physical distancing of 2 meters with other attendees.
  • Do not change seats between sessions unless otherwise advised by the organizers/venue. Seats will be re-sanitized after each break.
  • Use hand sanitizer regularly. Those will be available in common areas across the venue.
  • Follow the instructions by our trained hostesses and ushers available onsite. Those will be easily identified at all areas of the conference and throughout the whole day.
  • Do NOT attend the event if you have fever, cough, shortness of breath, are feeling unwell or suspect you have symptoms of COVID-19.

Is there a PCR test center at the conference venue, the DWTC?

Yes, below are the details:

  • Operator: AlTadawi Medical Centre
  • Location: Za’abeel Hall 2
  • Timing: 9am to 6pm
  • Results: Stamped and sent via email (within 24 hours)
  • Payment: Credit card (preferred). Official receipt will be provided for any form of payment
  • Registration: Visitors will be asked to scan a QR code and fill their information before taking the test, they also need to have a passport copy with them (digital will be accepted)

How do I register to attend the UFI conference?

Please note that there will be NO onsite physical registration to comply with local health regulations.

Therefore, we do encourage all our delegates to register online before arriving at the conference.

Registration will remain open until 26 May, the day of the conference , only via the online link with online payment by credit card or bank transfer.

No cash will be accepted. Entrance to the conference without payment will not be accepted.

Is it safe to tour around in Dubai?

Yes, all tourism, entertainment, F&B and transportation facilities in Dubai follow and abide by the authorities’ regulations. However, all tourists and residents must wear their own masks at all times (except when dining) and maintain physical distance from other people.

Here again, it remains the travelers responsibility to follow all sanitary measures that are put in place in order to ensure theirs and others wellbeing.
