Getting to Rwanda


Kigali International Airport (also known as Kanombe Airport) is the only international airport in Rwanda.  Several daily flights connect Kigali with other capitals of the sub-region and intercontinental flights allow passenger traffic between Europe, Middle East and other continents, directly or with a connection. Airlines flying to/from Kigali are RwandAir, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, KLM, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines.

How to reach the venue


The Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) and the Radisson Blu Hotel Kigali are located 8km from the Kigali International Airport (KGL). The taxi ride is about 15 minutes.

Business delegates are within a few kilometers of government and corporate offices, and leisure travellers will delight in nearby local landmarks and attractions.

You can get a taste of the local culture and buy handmade souvenirs from the local open-air markets or take a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla safari in Volcanoes National Park.

Visa Information

From 1st Jan 2018, Nationals of all countries receive visas on arrival at Kigali International Airport and all land borders. Citizens of countries members to the following international organizations; African Union, Commonwealth, and La Francophonie get visas upon arrival and are waived visa fees for a visit of 30 days.

A citizen of East African Community Member States shall be issued a pass/entry visa free of charge upon arrival to stay for a period of six months.

The following countries to be granted 90 days valid visa free of charge upon arrival: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore, and the state of Qatar.

All travelers must hold a valid passport or another acceptable travel document. The document must have a validity of at least six months on the day of entry in Rwanda.

Health Information

Vaccination

The Rwandan Ministry of Health requires all travellers coming from countries where yellow fever is endemic to produce proof of vaccination at border posts. The latest guidance from Rwanda for Yellow Fever can be found here: https://www.rbc.gov.rw/index.php?id=745

Medical Insurance

The Host Country does not cover travel insurance and medical insurance for conference attendees. If you are on medication, please carry sufficient supplies for the duration of your stay.
