Biography:: Sonto is a high energetic, creative thinker and a problem solver. Outstanding relationship development skills and ability to key in on strategic partnership issues. She created and implemented a campaign of the mass mobilization and communication programme to ensure that the people of KwaZulu-Natal participated in and benefited from the FIFA World Cup which was a huge success. Now involved with the bidding for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions to come to the Province of KwaZulu-Natal.Sonto Mayise’s track record, even at a glance says “ground breaker, go getter” and it easily places her in the “most impressive career track record” category if there were to be such. This coupled with a personality to match, makes serious magic. Her passion for people development and empowerment saw her lecturing at the University of Zululand and as she was pursuing further education, she chose “Opportunities After Sport: Helping Retired Sports Professionals Become More.” as the topic for her MBA Thesis (obtained from Universidad Europea de Madrid) in 2011. Sonto was the Director and driving force behind the COP 17/ CM 7 in 2011 and KZN Council for Climate Change on behalf of the KZN Premier’s Office.
